Divorce

When a marriage is no longer working, either party or both parties may file for divorce with the court to dissolve the marriage.

In Missouri, legal requirements for divorce include residency in the state for at least 90 days.  The state is a no-fault state, so there is no need to prove fault to be granted a divorce.  The court may however, consider the following when deciding whether the marriage should be dissolved.

Divorce includes the separation of property, debts, liabilities, the granting of spousal support, child custody and child support
